Through these portraits, I illuminate only certain elements of the subject, whether physical or related to clothing. On the one hand, this symbolizes that people, others, see only what they want of us, even if it means falling into clichés or judgment. On the other hand, we can also choose what we want to show of ourselves. Sometimes to follow social codes, other times to break them and express our true thoughts, even at the risk of being judged… again.
Social relationships are nothing more than a chess game where individuals try both to understand one another and to determine what they can reveal.

À travers ces portraits, je mets en lumière seulement certains éléments du sujet, qu’ils soient physiques ou liés à ses vêtement. D’une part, pour symboliser que les gens, les autres, ne voient que ce qu’ils veulent de nous, quitte à tomber dans les clichés ou le jugement. D'autre part, nous pouvons aussi choisir ce que nous voulons montrer ou dévoiler. Parfois pour suivre les codes sociaux, d’autres fois pour les briser et exprimer nos véritables pensées, en prenant de risque encore une fois d’être jugés.
Les relations sociales ne sont rien d’autre qu’un jeu d’échecs où les individus tentent de se comprendre tout en essayant de déterminer ce qu’ils peuvent révéler.
